Jason MIller Expects Suspension For Brawl On Strikeforce Live On CBS

Posted in Cage Coverage, Local MMA News, MMA News Worldwide on April 30th, 2010 by CageCoverage

Through Millers Twitter account:

mayhemmiller

Idk if I will be suspended or not, thanks for giving a damn, monkeys.

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker noted that Jason Miller’s participation at Strikeforce: Los Angeles would be unlikely as he expects the Tennessee Athletic Commission to suspend the middleweight fighter.

“Miller isn’t fighting because we believe, in speaking with the Tennessee Athletic Commission, that he will put under some type of suspension. After reviewing the tape (of the April 17 incident), we felt that Miller shouldn’t headline our next event. We will honor the Tennessee commission’s decision when it’s announced.”

UFC’s Tito Ortiz Arrested for Domestic Violence

Posted in Cage Coverage, Local MMA News, MMA News Worldwide, Music, Art, Culture, Style, Not Exactly MMA, Pictures, UFC News, Videos on April 27th, 2010 by CageCoverage

Tito Ortiz was arrested for felony domestic violence at the home he shares with Jenna Jameson.  Tito and Jenna are not married — but they have twin boys together.

Jenna claims Tito got very violent — throwing and injuring her — and that he’s falsely accusing her of Oxycontin addiction because he’s “very, very desperate.”

Jenna dons a new elbow wrap but, claimed it was her shoulder that was injured.

Tito Ortiz and his attorney Chip Matthews held a press conference after Tito’s release and claimed that Jenna Jameson is addicted to Oxycontin — and they say that’s what led to the alleged incident that got the MMA fighter busted for felony domestic violence.

Matthews said that Jenna’s been battling addiction to the painkiller for more than a year now, and that Tito and family members have been protecting her.

TMZ just spoke with Jenna — while she was driving to Las Vegas — and her version of what led to Tito’s domestic violence arrest is brutal.

Jenna claims that during an argument Monday morning she, “said something very hurtful to his ego.” She alleges that Tito then grabbed her and, “threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder.”

Matthews strongly denies that, saying … “He did not put his hands on her, he did not hit her, he did not do anything to her.”

Matthews claims Tito found pills in Jenna’s pants pocket — and that when Tito confronted her she had an “emotional meltdown.”

Matthews claimed Jenna has been to rehab, and that her addiction has led to multiple suicide calls to 911.

Tito was very choked up when he said he hopes “Jenna will be okay.”  Tito also said, “my parents have gone through addiction and I’m not going to let my family go through that.”

Jenna says Tito’s addiction allegation is, “completely false” and “the last nail in the coffin” for their relationship. Adding “he’s trying to save his career” — and then Jenna hit the road for Vegas with two friends.

Tito can’t go home because a temporary restraining order was granted after his arrest — which is common in domestic violence cases.  We’re told Jenna’s dad is taking care of Tito and Jenna’s twin sons.

In the above video, Jenna admits Tito did not “beat me.”
